General Staff Meeting

A General Staff meeting was held at IMCG F-7/2 Islamabad on 3rd September 2020 while observing the standard precautions. The meeting started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a special prayer for these troubled times. The Principal of the college, Dr. Balqees Nabbi, welcomed the staff with kind words and introduced new staff members also. She also briefed the teachers regarding the observance of basic SOPs due to pandemic. She expressed her wish that the college achieve academic success in the year 2020-21 with the diligence of the teachers.

IMCG F-7/2 lit up with colours of joy, enthusiasm and laughter as the Staff and the students jointly organized a Funfair on 10 March 2020. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Madam Balqees Nabbi, Principal IMCG F-7/2. She cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Funfair 2020. The sunny weather contributed to the pleasant ambience of the event. Stalls of assorted food items, jewellery and books were setup for the interest of the guests. Various swings were also available for the students' enjoyment. The Funfair provided a much needed respite to students and staff alike from their industrious routine.

Muhammad Saleem Ahmed Ranjha , Additional Secretary Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, visited IMCG F-7/2 Islamabad on 27th February 2020. He conducted an Informative session with the staff of the college. He introduced the teaching staff to the websites which can be helpful in teaching the syllabi to students with latest techniques and resources. He also urged the staff members to enrol in online courses being conducted by international universities through various websites.

FBISE Inter Collegiate Competitions

FBISE recently held Inter-Collegiate Athletic Tournament 2019-2020. The students of IMCG F-7/2 took part in all sporting events with great spirit. In Long Jump, the the students of IMCG F-7/2 won 1st and 4th position. In Shot Put Throw, the college won 2nd prize. In Javelin Throw, the college got 2nd position. The students got 2nd position in Relay Race. In 200mtr race, the students won 2nd and 6th place. In 100mtr race, the college won 3rd position. In 800mtr race , IMCG F-7/2 got 4th and 6th prize and in 400mtr race the students got the 6th position. Overall among 14 colleges, IMCG F-7/2 got 3rd position with 47 points in Athletic Championship 2019-20. In another event: Federal board Inter-collegiate 2019-20, the college won 2nd position in volleyball and 3rd position in badminton. In Quaid-e-Azam University Inter-collegiate 2019-20, IMCG F-7/2 won 3rd position in the volleyball event.

Collaborative Intercollegiate Urdu Drama Competition

IMCG F-7/2 organized two events in the collaborative Inter-collegiate competitions held in Ex-F.G. Colleges on 6 February 2020. In the second half, IMCG F-7/2 held the Inter-collegiate Urdu Drama competition. The event started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the Naat (p.b.u.h) . The Chief Guest of the Inter-collegiate Urdu Drama competition was Ms. Rizwana Syed Ali, renowned Writer currently associated with Pakistan Academy of Letters . In order to depict the atrocities committed against women in our patriarchal society, the topic for the competition was "Mujhe Jeenay Do". The judges of the competition were: Ms. Rabia Basri Ms. Rabia Razzaq Ms. Sumera Naz There were a total of 11 participants. The audience greatly enjoyed the dramatic efforts of the competing drama teams. The awards were given to the winning students by the Chief Guest , Rizwana Syed Ali and the Principal Dr. Balqees Nabbi. The winners of the competition are as follows: 3rd position: Umaima and group IMCG F-7/2( withdrawn) Anamta and group IMCG I-8/3 2nd position: Aiza and group IMCG F-7/4 1st position: Shumaila and group IMCG G-10/4 Best Actress: Kausar Wisaal IMCG G-10/4 The chief guest, Rizwana Syed Ali, appreciated the efforts of the participants. She also recited some poetry and dedicated it to the young audience . She emphasized that gender equality should prevail in the eastern societies especially in Pakistan. The Principal of the college presented the college crest to the chief guest and the judges. The event ended with the National anthem.

Collaborative Intercollegiate English Poetry Recitation with E Presentation competition

IMCG F-7/2 organized two events in the collaborative Inter-collegiate competitions held in Ex-F.G. Colleges on 6 February 2020. In the first half, IMCG F-7/2 held the Inter-collegiate English Poetry competition. The event started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the narration and translation of Hadees (p.b.u.h) . The Chief Guest of the Inter-collegiate English Poetry competition was Ms. Amber Shamsi , renowned Journalist currently associated with Saama News Network. She also used to work for BBC news. To celebrate 'poetry' as the oldest and purest form of expression, 6 poems were selected by the august faculty members for recitation in the competition. The judges of the competition were: Ms. Uzma Mumtaz Ms. Irum Shehzadi Ms. Nuzhat Abbasi There were a total of 11 participants. The audience greatly enjoyed the rendition of the poetry by the competing students. The awards were given to the winning students by the Chief Guest , Amber Shamsi and the Principal Dr. Balqees Nabbi. The winners of the competition are as follows: Consolation prize: Faiza Faiz IMCG F-7/2(withdrawn) Anosha Khan IMCG F-6/2 3rd position: Ghulam Fatima F.G. (p.g.) She also recited one of her favourite poems "If you forget me" by Pablo Neruda. She encouraged the students to adopt perseverance, persistence and hardwork to chase their dreams. The Principal of the college presented the college crest to the chief guest and the judges. The event ended with the National anthem.

IMCG Bharakahu has held the first event in the collaborative Inter-collegiate competitions held in Ex-F.G. Colleges. IMCG Bharakahu held the Inter-collegiate Qiraat and Naat competition on 4 February 2020. The participants portrayed their love for Allah and His beloved Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) through the melodious recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat (p.b.u.h).The student of IMCG F-7/2 , Noor ul Huda , won first prize in Qiraat. Another student of IMCG F-7/2, Hira Munawar, won second prize in Naat recitation. Over all, IMCG F-7/2 won the trophy.

The inter-class Urdu Baitbazi competition IMCG F-7/2 took place on 30th January 2020. The event started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Naat (p.b.u.h) . The Chief Guest of the occasion was Ms. Adeela Rashid, Head of the Department of Persian. The judges of the competition were: Ms Abida Younas, Ms. Rabia Kayani and Ms. Paras Gillani. The audience were awed by the poetic knowledge of the competing students. Inter-Class Urdu Debate and Singing Competition with a variety of Side Functions

The inter-class Urdu Debate competition took place on 29th January 2020. The event started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Naat (p.b.u.h) . The Chief Guest of the occasion was Ms. Abida Azhar, Head of the Department of Chemistry. The topic of the Urdu Debate was "Lafz Marham rakhte hen".The judges of the competition were: Ms Adeela Asim, Ms. Shazia Khanum and Ms. Shaista Sheikh. The participants were asked to speak for or against the topic. The audience greatly enjoyed the debates of the competing students. The judges of the competition were Ms. Naira Qadeer, Ms. Muneeza and Ms. Munazza Irum. The program lit up with rhythm and colours. The students thoroughly enjoyed the performances of the young talent.
